Bernardface
I've been a fan of the great Lostigator themisfitishere's Lost blog for years now. I've also been a fan of the drinking game "JackFace" (when Jack makes one of THOSE faces, you drink). Combine the two, and you get: the 32 faces of Bernard. You gotta love FLIRTY. Of course TheMisfit is trolling serious fans by calling him "Alvor" instead of Bernard.
I've given you sample of 12 of the faces-- click on the image to see all 32 faces at the original page. And if you haven't met themisfitishere yet, you're in for a treat. When you comment, pretend you think he's got it all wrong, he loves it.
Monster.com

This is a REAL job ad at employment site Monster.com that has recently been making the rounds of Lost fansites (click for full size). At first I dismissed it as fake. However there are three reasons to think it's real.
1) An advert like this would cost nearly $400 to post at Monster.com. This is unlikely a casual lark by a random fan.
2) Monster.com was one of three major corporate sponsors for the last official Lost ARG (Alternate Reality Game), The Lost Experience. The other corporate sponsors of the ARG were Jeep and Verizon.
3) Season 4 is ending with a long broadcast hiatus again stretching before us. Now is the logical time for a new Lost ARG.
Sounds to me like there's a new alternate reality game gearing up to launch after the finale.
So what do you think, is it real?
See the real listing Here at Monster.com
UPDATE: Yes this is a new Lost alternate reality game.
See: Octagonglobalrecruiting.com, dharmawantsyou.com, and of course Booth 3529 if you happen to be at this year's Comic Con in San Diego.
Tubular Lost Blog

"Fortunately for Jack, a Thai woman comes to help him. Unfortunately for all of us, that woman is the Bai Ling. "Before I go any further, Bai Ling. What is a Bai Ling, and why should we care, many of you will ask. The answer to both questions, I'm afraid, is I don't know. "From what I can gather, a Bai Ling is a mysterious and powerful creature who manages to get herself invited to any event in Hollywood that has a red carpet and phalanx of paparazzi. No one is sure what it is that she has actually done to warrant being invited to these events. Some suspect that she just shows up, and no one wants to be rude and tell her to go home and put on some pants. I'm beginning to fear that she has the power of mind control, and has been wielding it on an unsuspecting entertainment industry. Her latest victims would seem to be the casting department of Lost. That, or she just showed up on the set, and no one wanted to hurt her feelings and tell her to go home and put on a shirt." -Therese Odell, Tubular Lost Blog, Houston Chronicle Reviewing s3e09 "Stranger in a Strange Land" |
Some of the funniest Lost content on the internet involves actually reading,
and I don't mean fanfic.
For example I love Therese Odell's "Tubular" Lost blog for the Houston Chronicle, and this entry from last year (with the above quote) made me a permanent fan.
Her nicknames remind me of episode recaps for some shows at Television without Pity, like when Keamy turns into Steamy. In Season 1, she had a blog entry called "All the Best Episodes of Lost Have Shorter Titles". She peppers her entries with appropriate YouTube linkage, multiple puns ("The operating room is empty now except for snarling Shephards"), inappropriate jokes, and even 1337ness in ORLYs and the recent entry "Michael at the PWN shop". But don't turn off your brain because she also throws in references from 17th century philosophers and Jungian mythology.
Just go to the Tubular archives, become a fan like us, and tell her we sent you. And by the way, if you don't know what a Bai Ling is, and her acute difficulty preventing wardrobe malfunctions, just do a safe-search-disabled Google Image search on her. I mean this woman finagled herself into Star Wars Episode 3, so in comparison Lost must have been easy prey.
After Lost s4e11
We just discovered a new addition to the universe of Lost laughs. This one is a series of colorful episode comics with a new twist on each episode's mini cliffhanger moments. These are GREAT. I hope the site goes on to do all of the past episodes.
This is only the top half of the comic, from s4e11.

The Lost Boys PROJECT

Saw a link over at DocArzt's blog, and I discovered a whole site, The Lost Boys PROJECT, from a talented caricature artist specializing in Lost. There are just great pieces there, as well as a humorous cartoon section. I kept this image low-res so that you can click through to the real site to look at all the cartoons yourself.
