Battlefight: LOST vs. LOLcats

We just found the Idea Peepshow blog's Battlefight on LOST vs. LOLcats, which essentially pits the pros and cons of each, to decide once and for all which is absolutely superior to the other.
Are LOLcats better than LOST? Or is LOST better than LOLcats?
Readers are then encouraged to join in the fray and present their arguments. To read more, see the original post.
One particularly astute sample is below:
Jp- Mom? SP- Hi, buddy. Jp- Ok- weird question, but what do you think is more entertaining- LOST or LOLcats? SP- Lowl kitz? Jp- LOL cats… Like L-O-L. You know, those cute pictures of cats doing funny things with a little tagline at the bottom. SP- I don’t know what those are… Jp- LOLcats, you emailed me one just a few weeks ago. Remember? Cute pictures of kittys doing funny stuff with a tagline like “me like cheeseburgers” but all mispelled? SP- Well… since I don’t know what you’re talking about i must not have found it very funny **… so I guess I’d say LOST. Jp- But you… you know what, that actually works. SP- Ok, bye. |
Of course, as we at LOSTROFL (as well as the kittehs lurve lost blog) know, fans do NOT have to choose between the two.
Stock your pantry

There are a bunch of fans who have made Dharma Initiative food label PDFs, but I really like the ones by Max Pictures, since they are really made with care, and do not leave out the DI 9FFTR731, have an eye to lots of detail (like typical food label stuff), and don't have something Lost-themed but wrong, like "4 8 15 16 23 42": Tuna fish cans are NOT the hatch door.
Now go have a Lost themed Cinco de Mayo party. Yes with tunafish too.
Oh and with this post, we introduce our long overdue Food tag.
Vandalism TWO

Continuing on the Star Wars theme, it seems that in real life, after the broadcast of "Some Like it Hoth", a whole host of Lost fans descended upon Wikipedia's article for "The Empire Strikes Back" to properly attribute credit for the screenplay to one Hugo Reyes. Thanks to LostROFL reader RPC for pointing this out to us.
Here's one real screenshot sent by a fan, and one example of such corrections in the article's page history. Apparently the powers that be at Wikipedia have locked down the article for one week to protect it from edits by rabid Lost fans. We'll forget all about it after one week I'm sure.
This reminds me of the hilarious Wikipedia vandalism that occurred after Weird Al Yanokovic's "White and Nerdy" video. Oh, and see our previous Wikipedia (pretend) vandalism post here.

Fanboys, and Fangurls, just write in your own favorite Lost romance lines:
"Join me on my island"
"Let's get Lost in the jungle"
"Lost in You"
"I'll be your smoke monster if you'll be mine"
"You have to go back-- to my arms"
"Will you be my Constant?"
"Speak to me as if you were my lover, not a brother"
You get the idea.
