Lost ROFL

As we prepare to experience the launch of Season 6, let us take you back in time to December 2008 when we reported on Hippozor, a brand new meme blog dedicated to Hippos on Lost.

Yeah whatever-- pretty freaking random but it was kind of cute.

A few months later, we forgot to post about one of the funniest moments for us in Season 5 in March 2009, the broadcast of "La Fleur". Because what do you know, RIGHT THERE WAS A HIPPO SMACK IN THE MIDDLE OF LOST.

Of course we're talking about the 4-toed statue, seen complete for the first time, revealed as an Egyptian hippo goddess. And what do you know, when we Googled Hippos... THEY HAVE FOUR TOES.

We absolutely couldn't stop laughing when we went back to the Hippozor blog, and this is what we saw:

They were right. And so, days before the launch of Season 6, LOSTROFL takes a moment to take our hats off to Hippozor for their uncanny oracular vision.

Now we want our hippo flashback episode.

This post was inspired by many of the comments over at the old LOST Caption Contest blog post entitled the Phone it in Monday Edition. The blog hasn't been updated since 2007, but there are still lots of gems to be found there!

We just found the Idea Peepshow blog's Battlefight on LOST vs. LOLcats, which essentially pits the pros and cons of each, to decide once and for all which is absolutely superior to the other.

Are LOLcats better than LOST? Or is LOST better than LOLcats?
